How to email your State Legislatures and U.S. Congress

State Legislatures

1. Go to Congress.org's State Elected Officials page

2. Specify your ZIP code, or preferably your ZIP+4, and hit the GO button

3. Then where it says "Or compose your own message to Federal or State elected officials", click on State

4. Unclick any officials you do NOT want to send your email to (e.g. the Governor)
   
   

5. In the "Subject:" box, enter "Liberty Amendment"

6. In the "Editable text:" box, you may copy & paste the copy & paste version of our sample letter

7. Enter your required personal info

8. Check/uncheck the option boxes as desired (e.g. mailing list)

9. Optionally enter additional personal info

10. Finally, hit the Send Message button

U.S. Congress

1. Go to Congress.org's State Elected Officials page

2. Specify your ZIP code, or preferably your ZIP+4, and hit the GO button

3. Then where it says "Or compose your own message to Federal or State elected officials", click on Federal

4. Unclick any officials you do NOT want to send your email to (e.g. the President)

   Then follow steps 5-10 above.
